Retail Check Verification uses the ATM Network. Banks post their ATM account information at the close of each business day. We take this information and then make it available to all users of our Retail Check Verification service. This means that when you use our check verification system you are receiving the most current checking account information available on that particular checking account.
To access our retail check verification network you either type in the routing and account number of the check or you can use a scanner to automatically scan the information into our online check verification software. Almost immediately a check verification code will appear which indicates the status of the check. The check verification codes will determine whether or not you decide to take the check. The check verification codes range from: “The account is open with a positive balance” to “this account is closed”. |

If for some reason our retail check verification software does not produce a check verification code for a particular check writer then our software, as a secondary measure, is set up to access the largest and most up to date checking account database in the country. This database will give you the history of a particular individual and their checking history, whether it is positive or negative. |
